I recently had the pleasure of visiting a somewhat fancy, somewhat casual resturant with some friends after a long day of fishing. (No not ice fishing, I’ll get to the ice later.) This particular resturant was decent to say the least. Good looking waitresses, nice atmosphere, delicious food, but the drinks could have been better. Now when I say better I mean Ice. Yes Ice. Please don’t get me wrong ice is a handy in all its cold ways, but I want a drink, not a glass of ice.
To break it down for you all the glass was a standard issue plastic much like these.
Now if we lived in a perfect world the ice to drink ratio would be 25% ice and 75% drink, therefore getting your moneys worth.
This particular resturant has a different ratio however. 75% ice and with what room is left over; the actual drink. Then to top it all of they charge you $2.00, for what is equal to about half a can of soda. I bet the fella sitting next to me had the other half.
Now I know what your thinking, this guy is complaining about ice? Well we don’t live in a perfect world, life with it! I know the world is far from perfect, and yes, I know complaining about ice is probably childish but all I wanted was a decent drink, not a visit to the ice caps.
